Just got this from a friend... he has a good idea so I figured i'd post it on here too.

As you probably know, there is another major horse abuse case in Washington
County. The accused is Scotty Ramsey. Eleven horses are alive, but will
need a couple of months to make significant improvements. Three horses were
found dead.

It is my firm belief that we all really need to turn up the heat on animal
abuse.

I urge everyone to write to the editor of the J.C. Press, and make three
points: (1) let the court see that animal abuse is intolerable, and that a
tough penalty is warranted; (2) commend the animal control staff for their
professional management of these cases; and (3) encourage public donations
to the animal shelter, for the care of the horses, until the court
determines their disposition.

Feeding the horses will cost more than $500.00 monthly, for several months.
The case has already had at least one delay.

Thank you.
